MICHAEL WENDT
Michael joined the Navy at age 19 and served around the world as a general duty Hospital Corpsman, a Marine Corps field medic, an EMT, and an Independent Duty Corpsman for a 20 year enlisted career in which he deployed 7 times, earned a bachelor degree, and was accepted into the Interservice Physician Assistant Program at Fort Sam Houston, TX. After earning his masters degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and NCCPA certification, he deployed with and served as Battalion Surgeon for the 2nd Light Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, NC. After moving to the Jacksonville area in 2013, he deployed 2 more times while serving in the Family Medicine Clinic and Emergency Room at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, and then the Primary Care Clinic, and Occupational Medicine Clinic at Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay, GA. He retired from the Navy after 32 years of service, and began caring for patients at The Doctor’s Center in the fall of 2020.
